Carthage airport: Two tunisair agents arrested

Two Tunisair airline agents were arrested by police as they attempted to smuggle 25 kilograms of silver and gold illegally from Istanbul to Tunisia.
The facts took place yesterday, Sunday September 27, at the Tunis-Carthage international airport, according to Tunisian media.
The airport's judicial police had put in place a surveillance operation a week ago and this approach has borne fruit.
It led to the arrest of two agents from the aviation security department belonging to Tunisair.
The two employees carried 9 kilos of silver and gold with them from Istanbul.
Police seized this amount from the two individuals returning from Istanbul when they searched them.
But after another search of their locker rooms, the police discovered a greater amount of contraband.
In all 16 kilos of gold and silver were hidden in these locker rooms.
The two agents confessed to having smuggled into Tunisia and the customs guard opened an investigation.
The airline Tunisair for its part launched legal proceedings against the two employees
