SNJT : Yassine jelassi union president
Yassine Jelassi was appointed, this Wednesday, September 23, 2020, to be the new president of the trade National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) during the meeting of the distribution of tasks between the members of the new executive board of the union.
He thus succeeds Néji Bghouri, former president of the SNJT. Mohamed Yassine Jelassi - alias Mehdi Jelassi - was elected with 230 votes.
He therefore comes in third position after Amira Mohamed and Faouzia Ghiloufi.
A journalist in Nawaat, he is also a correspondent for the London newspaper Al-Hayet.
The new SNJT board was elected at the end of the union's 5th congress held on September 19, and succeeds the one elected in 2017 and chaired by Néji Bghouri.
