Sky world news/ Minister of Health announces date of launch of COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
The Minister of Health, Faouzi Mehdi announced, during the plenary session held today at the ARP, that the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 will take place in the coming days, specifying that the authorities have provided all the efforts to make this campaign a success.
The minister added in the same vein, that Tunisia has chosen to approve vaccines meeting the international and scientific standards required, particularly in terms of efficacy, safety and absence of side effects.
He stressed that vaccination is optional and that consent is essential to successfully defeat the Covid Coronavirus.
Faouzi Mehdi indeed affirmed that Tunisia aims, like all the countries of the world, to vaccinate 50% of its population according to the priorities (age, chronic diseases etc). Recall that on Friday, the director of the Pasteur Institute declared that vaccination operations will begin in "24 hours".
