The press conference for the first session of the Jendouba Spring Festival, which will take place on 12_13_14 and 15 May in Tabarka and Ain Draham, was held in the space of the Cultural Store in Bab Souika, under the slogan Jendouba, the capital of mountain tourism. The director of the festival, Mr. Taher Katata, presented the program of this session, which will open on May 12 in the basilica space in Tabarka, with a Sufi show “Al-Makhzaniya attended,” directed by Muhammad Ali bin Jumaa, with a traditional costume show by designer Iman Khalifa, in the context of the region’s celebration of the month of heritage and introducing the traditional dress that characterizes the Wilayat Jendouba.

Activities are variedThroughout the days of the festival in Al-Marij camp in Ain Draham, it is represented in sports, recreational, environmental, tourism and cultural activities such as the establishment of a library open to all visitors to the festival and its participants, as well as pottery workshops and exhibitions of traditional products in the context of encouraging craftswomen and giving them the opportunity to introduce their creativity.

A round table on environmental protection, supervised by eco-tourism activist Ms. Rania Al Mashriqi, will also be held with performances by the storyteller and major artistic performances by the artists Yasser Al Jaradi, who, dj blackjack and dj benjemy will participate in the “Dream” show, and the Belgian artist, dj hamza.

The director of the festival, during his interaction with journalists’ questions, explained that the basis of the idea of ​​the festival is to encourage alternative tourism and interactive tourism, and to value Jendouba’s natural, environmental and tourism gains. On the importance of human support and the concerted efforts of many parties with local and regional authorities in the success of this founding session of the Jendouba Spring Festival, which they will seek to develop further and radiate it in Tunisia and abroad during the upcoming sessions.

Wajih Hilali, director of the House of Culture in Tabarka and representative of the regional delegation for cultural affairs in Jendouba, confirmed that the delegation's support for this festival falls within the framework of valuing the cultural, heritage and tourism stock in the region and celebrating the 31st session of the Heritage Month under the slogan of traditional dress, national identity and regional privacy. Mrs. Linda Daoud, President of the Association of Tunisia for All, indicated that one of the main objectives of the Jendouba Spring Festival is to present a radiant and new image of the region, highlight the important natural and environmental gain, and encourage its further awareness and preservation.

On it, she emphasized the association’s role in seeking to familiarize Tunisians everywhere in the Republic, first with the gains of his country, and then openness to foreign tourists.
