The first International Maghreb Conference : Reality and hope

This is organized on the theme "Changes in sustainable development: reality and hope".
The event takes place from March 12 to 16, 2021, in the presence of many guests and speakers from 25 different countries.
This event on sustainable development will also see the participation of representatives of different organizations and bodies.
Indeed, this meeting makes it possible, according to the organizers, to clarify the challenges and obstacles facing the Arab countries in general and the Maghreb countries in particular in the field of sustainable development.
"The development that the world is witnessing in economic thought, the concept of development has undergone a set of transformations," the concept note of the event reads.
The evolution of the concept of development Since the beginning of the 1970s, the concept of development has taken on a broader dimension than economic and social ones.
And new concepts have been added to it, the most important of which is sustainable development.
Considered as new and innovative, the concept of sustainable development can be seen as a social change oriented according to a specific ideological policy.
It is a long-term planning process, comprehensive and integrated in its dimensions: economic, social, cultural, environmental and technological.
It aims to continuously improve the well-being of individuals.
What development policy are we talking about? This development policy should not be limited to a specific sector. This is why this conference will also try to shed light on the most important developments in sustainable development.
And this, between realities and aspirations at the strategic level for various Arab and Maghreb countries. Given the changes that these regions are going through, particularly political, economic and social, the discussions will revolve around a set of central situations through the role of the public and private sectors, and local and international organizations in the implementation of the objectives.
